Fiber Capacity Multiplication


Fiber Capacity Multiplication (FCM) is mainly used to achieve rapid expansion of fiber core. In order to increase potential of existing network transmission and improve efficiency of utilization of fiber core and minimize the occupation of urban space resources, application of FCM is used for insufficient situation of fiber core in access layer fiber, which can significantly shorten the business construction period and enhance the full business capabilities with high efficiency.

 1.    Passive Solution

Flexible connection between BBU and RRU scenario that could solve problem of lacking fiber resources. Passive FCM solution replace the original device optical module by color optical module and increase passive color optical box (CWDM/MUX/DEMUX), to convergence multiple fiber transmission into single fiber core, which solve the shortage of fiber resource for operator customers.

Optical modules are replaced by color SFP modules on BBU and RRU. CWDM MUX/DEMUX units are deployed on the BBU and RRU respectively. Application is used for the CRAN, 4G network re-farming and other scenes.

By cascading multi-level signals to different sites, application for scenario of BBU and RRU remote connection is flexible for tunnels, railways and other wireless signal narrow area coverage.

2.    Active Solution

Flexible connection between BBU and RRU scenario that could solve problem of lacking fiber resources. There is no need for replacing original device optical module by using active solution that could support remote NMS.

Single card support remote transmission, which support 8 pairs RRU and BBU signals with MUX/DEMUX and 3R (Regeneration, Reshaping, Retiming). The signals transmission distance can be extended to 10Km.
